1 //The challenge

I worked with a school board where teachers were losing hours every week to attendance logs, report formatting, and administrative requests that had nothing to do with teaching.

I helped this board automate the administrative load that was pulling teachers away from the classroom, without putting AI anywhere near grading judgment calls that needed a teacher.

Attendance, basic progress reporting, and routine parent communication moved into an automated workflow that teachers reviewed instead of building from scratch.

3 //My Pesonal Thoughts

I keep seeing the same pattern in education. It does not have a technology problem. It has a time theft problem.

  • Every hour spent on formatting a report card is an hour not spent with a student
  • Teachers did not need convincing on AI. They needed proof it would not replace their judgment
  • The fastest way to lose a teacher’s trust is to let AI anywhere near grading without them in control
